Kerry Wood of the Chicago Cubs Placed on the 15-Day DL with Shoulder Fatigue

Kerry Wood, who hasn't pitched since April 13th, has been placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Chicago Cubs with right shoulder fatigue, reports Bradford Doolittle of MLB.com.

Wood had received a cortisone shot on Wednesday, but it apparently didn't do enough for him to avoid a trip to the DL.

Cubs manager Dale Sveum said the shots were helping, but instead he and the Cubs chose to be cautious...
