Report: Lily and Soriano Are The Latest to Be Bitten By The Injury Bug

The injury bug is still going around in the club house on day two after the break. Left fielder, Alfonso Soriano and All-Star pitcher, Ted Lilly are the latest to be bitten.

Soriano was scratched from game two versus the Nationals because of some swelling in a finger on his right hand. Soriano dislocated the finger after sliding into first base on Thursday night in the fourth inning. Soriano said of his injury, "The problem now is the swelling is too big and I cannot [grip the bat]."

Soriano says he isn't worried about the pain. He just wants the swelling to go away so he can swing a bat.

The outfielder was never a disabled list player until he was signed by the Chicago Cubs.
